People News

PayByPhone announced the appointment of Nick Hamill as Chief Financial Officer, effective 1 August 2023.

EasyPark ANZ has announced two significant additions to their team, Robert Di Cristo joins as General Manager, Smart Cities, and Steve Hargitay comes on board as General Manager, Off Street Parking.

EasyPark Group further strengthens its executive team with three strategic recruitments. 

EV Meter welcomes new sales director John Gerval, whilst SHARE NOW announces change in leadership with Brigitte Courtehoux to assume CEO position.

EV Charging News 

GO TO-U app partners with PRE, Czech Republic's energy operator, expanding their reach to 330,000 chargers in 64 countries. 

EasyPark Group strengthens its collaboration with leading European energy company, Vattenfall, providing access to both charging and parking across Sweden. 

CPI announced its latest projects in the field of EV charging, whilst PowerGo unveiled its 120-kilowatt fast charger in the town of Sueca, Valencia. 

Hectronic opens a new SCORE charging station in Leer NL, that makes charging as easy as refueling. 

Sustainability News

Germany plans €900 in subsidies to expand EV charging infrastructure.

Ballast Nedam is responsible for the new car park in Den Bosch, NL. The design is particularly eco-friendly with green roofing, a gabion facade along with bird and bat boxes. 

Astron Buildings broke ground on their Multimodal Exchange Hub, in Vergeze. There will be public transport, EV charging, and the site will be equipped with 100 trees and photovoltaic panels to generate electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of 300 people.

APCOA and Emoby have collaborated to create a sustainable micro-mobility hub. The project is part of the "APCOA URBAN HUBS" program, which aims to enhance its parking facilities as an urban hub in favor of the development of sustainable mobility, focusing on inter-modality, electrification, micro-logistics and the application of digitized technologies and services.

Airport News 

Quick Parking and Parkimeter announced their collaboration to expand and enhance airport parking reservations in Europe. The collaboration between the two parties makes it easier for customers to have access to a wide range of airport parking lots in Europe. 

APCOA PARKING Deutschland GmbH won the tender for parking space management in the “Kiss & Fly Zone” at Düsseldorf Airport.

Equinsa parking installed more than 15,000 guided spaces at the Madrid airport.

Q-Park offers a solution to the prolonged parking challenges at Dublin Airport. 

Municipality News

SKIDATA expands its presence in Linköping, Sweden, connecting off and on-street parking into one seamless solution. 

Flowbird partners with Umojo to revolutionize the parking experience in the City of Portland, by integrating Umojis communication software into Flowbirds off-street parking devices. 

In more collaboration news, HONK and eleven-x partner to enhance the parking experience and traffic flow in the town of Oakville. 

Peter Park equipped five areas in Günzburg Germany with their digital barrier-free parking solutions. 

ParkMobile offers its digital parking services to over 1,300 parking spaces in Hackensack, New Jersey, USA. 

LAZ Parking expands its presence in Syracuse N.Y. by purchasing a surface parking lot at 102 Dickerson St. 

And Finally, the Following Tenders Were Won in July by Our Members...

Easypark and paybyphone were awarded the payment and subscriber management tender in Rouen, France. 

Flowbird has won the tender for parking meters in Vitoria Gasteiz in Spain. 

Hectronic has been awarded the tender for parking meters in Kielce, Poland.

DESIGNA was awarded the tender for control, safety, and signaling equipment in Lorient France.
