The Successful Parking Network Event 2016

Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

The 8th edition of the Airport Parking Network Event took place this Monday and Tuesday and was co-hosted by Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Just like the previous editions of APNE, this year’s was filled with airport parking-related discussions, workshops and networking time.

Some of the topics discussed at the event were off-airport parking competition or collaboration, digitalization of parking, revenue and yield management, parking marketing campaigns, online booking solutions and pricing strategies. All topics were recapped during the second day, and online booking was perhaps the most talked about topic throughout the event.APNE 2016

The threat of terrorism was also an important topic that was discussed at the event. Airport parking delegates discussed their concerns as well as their plans for action, and the example of how Brussels Airport dealt with the aftermath.

The networking drinks on Monday night were held on boats sailing through the Amsterdam canals allowing delegates to enjoy the beautiful city of Amsterdam. After the drinks, the boats left all participants at the Amsterdam Museum for the exclusive networking dinner sponsored by Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Together with the dinner, participants were able to see the exhibition for the 100 years of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

On Tuesday afternoon, delegates were able to attend more workshops, the conclusion to the event and the last networking drinks.

The Airport Parking Network Event 2016 proved to be a success for the airport parking delegates as well as for the top solutions providers in the parking industry.
