Software Engineer (Harmelen, NL)

For the ARVOO Group, a growing organization based in Harmelen, we are looking for an enthusiastic, eager to learn colleague within our software team with experience in developing software applications.

Over ARVOO

ARVOO develops AI Computer Vision products, where both the hardware and software are designed and produced completely in-house. The applications range from parking enforcement and access control to Brussels sprout sorting machines. We stand for technologically advanced, high-quality products with the associated customer-oriented service. Integrity, teamwork and respect for colleagues and customers are of paramount importance to us.

The work

As ARVOO, in addition to our embedded products, we want to offer more services that mainly run in the cloud. This means there is a need to expand the team of software engineers with someone who can contribute to the development of server-based applications. Consider a platform with which a customer can manage and monitor all his cameras and scan cars.

Although the core of your responsibilities will lie with the server applications, at ARVOO you will soon be involved in other tasks. Answering customer questions, thinking about what requirements new scan cars should meet, it's all part of it, depending on your interests and strengths.

Your daily tasks will include, among others, the following:

  • In consultation with customers, investigate what the technical specifications should be for an application
  • Build, test, maintain and monitor server-based applications
  • Keep user management and security in order
  • Set up developed server applications on a cloud service

What do we ask of you?

  • You have an HBO or WO working and thinking level with a background in computer science or a related education
  • Skilled in designing and implementing large-scale applications in programming languages such as C#, Rust, Go and/or Python
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS is an advantage
  • You have a good command of the Dutch and English language
  • You are solution and improvement oriented and take responsibility
  • You can work accurately, independently and in a disciplined manner

What do you get in return?

  • A temporary contract for 32-40 hours per week, with the prospect of a permanent contract
  • Flexible working hours and options to work partially from home
  • Attractive secondary employment conditions, including travel expenses
  • From day one you can think about how the organization and products can be improved, and vice versa you will also have opportunities to grow within our organization.
  • And of course super nice colleagues with a passion for technology and innovation, who are always up for a cup of coffee, a game of table football or darts in the canteen!
