Position Summary

Responsible for timely and accurate accumulation and reporting of company financial information and providing company management with that information in various standard and requested formats.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Accountant position performs the following duties under limited supervision:

  • Makes, reviews and verifies, journal entries in a variety of ledgers
  • Verifies financial information regarding operations sites
  • Calculate management fees and amounts owed to and/or due from property owners in accordance with management agreements
  • Reconciles cash in both DR and CR with the ability to research and make ultimate judgments as to disposition
  • The ability to research and make judgments in regards to the ultimate disposition of an item
  • Daily cash reporting has been added as well as the reconciliation, reporting and interest computation for notes payable.
  • Property management reporting is introduced with report formatting and responsibility for sending reports with required backup.

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Other special projects as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years accounts receivable and general accounting experience
  • Established experience in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook and financial software system (e.g., Peachtree, Quickbooks, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, etc.).
  • Excellent oral (including formal presentations) and written communications and comprehension skills, required.

Qualifications Desired

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years accounts receivable and general accounting experience

Performance Standards

  • This position will receive an annual performance review from the direct supervisor to discuss actual performance as compared to company stated expectations and agreed upon job related performance goals for the upcoming year.
