Inside Sales Representative (ISR)

  • REPORTS TO: Managing Director

General Summary

The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for all aspects of inside sales and customer support for a designated territory and for acting as a backup to other members of the sales team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Communicate with customers by telephone, e-mail and in person. Inbound and outbound calling to include a minimum of 30 outbound sales calls per day to set up meetings and webinars for the Regional Sales Managers (RSM’s) with perspective resellers and to promote and recruit for the Channel Partner Program (CPP).
  • Interface with customers, Regional Sales Managers (RSM’s), Systems Engineers (SE’s), Manufacturers Representatives (MR’s) and others in order to develop and manage business relationships with the goal of generating customer orders.
  • Work as a team with one or more RSM’s and SE’s to provide consistent points of contact for TKH Security Solutions customers and channel partners in the US.
  • Act as inside sales support for RSM’s doing quotations, follow up activities and fulfilling other requests as required.
  • Enter customer information in SalesLogix, keeping detailed notes about customer and project activities, communicating updates to other sales staff and MR’s.
  • Work as a team with other ISR’s to perform all aspects of customer service including order processing, price checking, complaint resolution, problem solving, expediting and tracking orders, and communicating order acknowledgments and shipment information for customers in your assigned territory. Review orders entered and secure approval signatures. Ensure pricing and rep commissions are entered in accordance with established agreements.
  • Assist RSM’s and MR’s with customer inquiries, follow-up, project quotations and other tasks as needed.
  • Actively participate in account development including support, training and management of MR’s and major accounts.
  • Develop an intermediate level understanding of TKH Security Solutions products and applications, the ability to understand customers’ needs and assist in product selection.
  • Answer company telephones and maintain customer service files.
  • Occasional overnight travel to customer locations, trade shows or other business meetings.


  • Minimum 2 years outbound telemarketing sales experience working within a channel business model.
  • Entrepreneurial and hunter attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of IP, IP cameras and networks.
  • College degree or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be computer literate, proficient in Microsoft applications including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and SalesLogix or equivalent CRM application.
  • Work habits include regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability and promptness.
