Assistant Operations Manager (Austin, US)

Premium Parking is a New Orleans-based operator of parking lots, garages, and valet services, with a fast-growing presence in Central Texas. Like our motto says, our company not only provides excellent places to park but also sustains an exceptional work environment.

We are looking for an Assistant Operations Manager to oversee the administration of all day-to-day activities related to parking garage and surface lot management.

Core Functions

  • Maintain parking software and billing systems
  • Maintain familiarity with access and revenue control system hardware and software
  • Direct projects related to the physical operation of parking garages and surface lots including cleaning, repair, equipment maintenance and security
  • Maintain a first-class operation at all times
  • Manage all parking personnel. Besides direct day-to-day management, responsibilities include recruiting, training, evaluation, and salary administration
  • Comply with and enforce Premium Parking company policies
  • Develop and maintain positive tenant relations
  • Manage all aspects of the tenants’ parking, including rent roll maintenance, contract files, and lease provision compliance
  • Lead Special Event planning and execution
  • Develop, implement, and maintain marketing and operating strategies to maximize facilities’ revenue
  • Promote Premium Parking and participate in market research and new business development

  • Communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization both verbally and in written form
  • Exchange ideas, information, and options with others to formulate policies and programs and/or arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, and solutions
  • Apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form
  • Proficiently use Microsoft Word and Excel to produce reports and spreadsheets
  • Integrate analyses of data to discover facts and/or develop knowledge concepts or interpretations.
  • Maintain a calm demeanor in emergency situations
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness
  • Inspect parking garages and surface lots
  • Review documents and parking materials
  • Walk up and down stairs during property inspections
  • Lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds
  • Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
  • Perform essential functions indoors 90%, and outdoors 10% of the time


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Parking management experience preferred
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members
  • Must be detail-oriented and extremely well organized
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Successful completion of a passing background check and pre-employment drug screen
