Stanley Robotics is a highly ambitious robotics start-up launched in January 2015. Set to revolutionise the car-parking world with an automated valet service, our robots can move any vehicle. We don’t just want to make the experience of car parking better; we want to get rid of it altogether!

Already seeing strong growth with several key accounts (airports), Stanley Robotics has raised equity from big name investors and is rolling out in 2018 several large-scale projects. We are looking for a passionate and innovative mechanical engineer to strengthen our mechatronics team.

Position is located in central Paris.

The role


In cooperation with our lead mechanics developer, your task will include :

  • design the evolutions of our robots and ensure that QCD (quality, costs, delays) targets are met
  • ensure that all the key aspects of our solution are developed professionally (industrial tests, maintenance, reliability..)
  • work with the mechanical draughtsman in order to guarantee the good state of the robot's technical documents
  • lead successfully all the tests our robots will be submitted to.
  • You will be a key contributor to our mechatronics team and be the garant of the technical qualification of the new versions of our robots.

Your profile

We are looking for a passionate and curious mechanical engineer. A person who is daring, conscientious, questioning, and with excellent interpersonal skills.


  • Bsc, Msc or PhD in Mechanics / Mechatronics
  • at least 5 years of experience in designing vehicle mechanics systems (ideally AGV)
  • Desire to learn and ability to teach
  • Strong desire to work in a team; overall success is more important than individual success
  • You are a doer
  • Experience in project development (planning, anticipation..)
  • Automotive background is welcome
  • English professional proficiency
  • Comfortable working within the less formal context of a startup business

Desired skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of industrial tests and qualification processes, robotics, perception sensors, thermal engineering, battery systems, etc.
  • French professional proficiency
