Summary of Position Functions

This role primarily focuses on Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role. The role includes but not limited to, matching and processing inventory payable invoices, handling expense related payables, processing various types of receivables invoices, bank reconciliations, and daily deposits.

Essential Position Functions

  • Review, Match, and Record Payables Invoices;
  • Prepare and Issue Cheques;
  • Processing Receivables Invoices;
  • Handling Customer/Vendor Inquiries;
  • Bank Reconciliations;
  • Deposits;
  • Assisting in Month End, Year End, and Audit Requirements;
  • Filing;
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

  • Post-secondary accounting education, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent;
  • 3+ years of experience in a AP/AR role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills, especially in Excel;
  • Experience Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains experience would be considered an asset;
  • Ability to work both unsupervised and as a team member in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Detail oriented and diligent processing documents;
  • Quick learner with the problem-solving skills.
