GPS Parking using your mobile Phone.

Parkmobile is the first parking provider launching an app that makes it possible for parking with GPS in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands on such a large scale. The app consists of multiple functionalities to start and stop parking sessions as well as giving the customer the possibility to key in a duration time or extend a parking transaction. The app also provides you with a history of your last 5 parking actions. Another exciting new feature introduced allows customers to tell their friends that they are using Parkmobiles Pay by Phone parking service through social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn. The app knows what way you like to park; use GPS or manually key in the zonal number,it is up to the customer. Obviously for other (smart)phone users Parkmobile launches its new mobile website to start and stop a parking transaction. The mobile website does not have the GPS functionality.

What the future holds in store.

At the moment were concentrating on the GPS locations and upgrading the accuracy where possible. Getting all the correct locations of the parking meters and spaces in the Netherlands and United Kingdom is not a one day job. The app learns every day about these locations. This way we improve the service every day. Next to that we have lots of exciting ideas. About Pay by Phone Parking.

Pay by Phone parking is the starting and stopping of your parking transaction using your mobile phone. By keying in a zone number (displayed on each parking meter) the user activates their VRN or parking card for that location. At the end of each month Parkmobile collects the parking fees generated using direct debit or credit card.

Dutch customers
Dutch customers can download the app for free in the App store. If you are not yet a customer of Parkmobile you can register for € 2,50 and directly park in Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Deurne, Haarlem, Zeist and Venray.
