With approximately 2.6 million passengers passing through the terminal each year, George Best Airport was the only UK airport to record an increase in passengers during 2009. During this time, the airport operated a parking reservations system for the long stay car park developed by a local supplier. Keen to expand on this initial solution and increase the range of car parks and parking products offered to passengers via its website, the airport looked for a more adaptable solution that could meet the needs of the parking operation and allow it to be more creative with pricing and promotions. The airport also wanted to offer its customers more self-service capability with the option to manage their own bookings online.

An important factor in the selection process was the ability to set different tariffs for different parking products. This would allow the airport to provide flexible (fully amendable) and non-flexible (no changes or cancellations) parking products at different rates to meet market needs.
