Impark Honored With Pinnacle "Above & Beyond" Award by BOMA Canada

The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Canada honoured Impark with its highest award for outstanding service at the BOMA Canada National Awards Gala held on September 15th in Toronto, Ontario. The award entitled Above & Beyond recognizes outstanding service and commitment to clients, and was presented at BOMA's Annual National Conference with over 500 representatives from Canada's top property owners, asset managers, developers, and property managers in attendance. The Pinnacle Award was made with particular reference to Impark's Ottawa operations exceptional commitment to service during two civic events.
The two-month-long OC Transpo Bus Strike involved 2,300 drivers, mechanics and dispatchers walking from their jobs in December, 2008, causing a transportation seizure in the City of Ottawa, and a challenge for Impark in managing an increased demand for its parking services; complicated through Imparks own workforce being unable to travel to their workplace on public transportation. Impark responded by utilizing part of its shuttle bus fleet to transport its employees to and from their scheduled locations; arranging pick-up timetables and rearranging staffing schedules to make sure each Impark location was adequately staffed to respond to the extraordinary transportation requirements.
The Tamil Tigers demonstration in April 2009 involved hundreds of Tamil protestors arriving on Parliament Hill during rush hour on a Tuesday in April, 2009, and staying for 5 weeks, with many protestors taking refuge at night in nearby parking facilities including the garage at the World Exchange Plaza; a facility operated by Impark. The company took a proactive and sensitive approach to the challenges presented, continuing to provide the facilitys regular customers with a safe and pleasant parking experience.
Accepting the award on behalf of Impark, Ottawa Regional Manager; Frank Koutsouflakis thanks BOMA Canada and their Awards Committee for "...recognizing Impark's efforts to bring convenience to our customers and clients through commitment Above and Beyond. Impark is very proud of its longstanding association with BOMA. The organization should be commended for setting high standards and providing the recognition that motivates companies to deliver superior service."
