Asura Technologies Offer Insight into Collaboration within the Parking Industry

Adrian Csekő, Sales Manager of Asura Technologies

A parking facility is the sum of many parts, and so companies often need to work together to ensure that a facility is equipped with all the technology required to create a seamless experience for the customer and also the parking operator. During this week’s Parking Talks, Adrian Csekő, Sales Manager of Asura Technologies, offered his insight into the importance of collaboration within the parking industry.

How Important Do You Personally Think Working Together with Other Companies Is for the Overall Customer Journey?

“We believe that collaboration is one of the most important factors when doing business, and so cooperation with other companies has been important for us from the start. When you look at Asura Technologies, it is the way we are doing things.

“Let’s take sales for example: as a technological company, we very rarely sell our solutions to end users, rather through local distributors or system integrators. While product development is done mainly in-house, there are some instances where we work closely with outside contractors. And the importance of reliable partners in marketing is also obvious – thinking about Parking Network for instance, but joint campaigns with our sales and distribution partners is also a good example of great cooperation.

“Every single person in the company believes in the power of the personal contacts that we develop with our business partners. Companywide we intentionally invest heavily, both budget-wise and emotionally, in cooperation through personal relations. That is why we are keen on business events where we have the opportunity to present live product demonstrations, hold personal discussions and regularly meet both our partners and potential clients.”

Can You Share Some Examples of Great Collaborations in Parking?

“Our recent collaborations include the modernization of the parking operation at the New Jersey site of Nexus Parking Systems, aimed at eliminating physical permits by introducing LPR based permitting. We had a great collaboration with the management and the on-site Nexus team which meant that we managed to integrate the LPR technology in three weeks and go from concept to live operation in just two months.

“Another fine example would be a project from last fall when the Denver-based Parking Revenue Recovery Services decided to develop a new license-plate based parking enforcement system using Asura’s solution. The project involved Asura integrating with T2 parking machines as well as the citation management system of a third party service provider. The integration was smooth, and it was great to see all the different companies working together in order to implement the final project.  It was a surprise to see how quickly they moved to deliver the whole system in three months.”

What Can We Expect from Asura Technologies This Year?

“It’s a busy year for Asura. We will be exhibiting at the IPMI Conference & Expo in Anaheim in June and we will be a part of the show at the NPA Expo in Orlando. We will hold live demo sessions at all exhibitions, featuring real, local footage so it is always worth to visit our booth.

“As for new products, we have already launched our new vehicle make and model recognition video analytics module for Asian models, while the final version including US vehicles is just around the corner. We recently launched ARU Move, our mobile LPR solution great for parking and law enforcement applications, and are also working on integration with some of the major PMS providers in the US and Europe. Meanwhile, we are testing new hardware to deliver complete, readymade video analytics and LPR solutions to our clients. So, this year is definitely going to be exciting for us, our partners and clients.”
