City of Nashua, New Hampshire to modernize downtown parking program with Cale America parking solutions

The City of Nashua, New Hampshire will modernize its downtown parking program by installing new pay stations that accept debit and credit cards along Main Street. 

Similar to neighboring communities of Manchester, Concord and Portsmouth, the new Nashua pay stations will be solar charged, accept coins and card payments and issue a receipt that will include the parking expiration time. The City of Nashua will also add new pay stations in a downtown garage configured as pay-by-space, where customers can enter their space number when paying and an optional receipt.

Mark Sousa, Manager of Transportation and Parking for the City of Nashua said Cale America was selected in part due to their excellent reputation and references in the Northern New England area. "Cale America scored very high in all parts of our evaluation process. Our objective was to find the best technology partner for the City that offered the most reliable and durable parking solution," Mark explained.

"Our solution has become the standard in the region and has been proven to be user-friendly and easy to maintain in all climate conditions."  The 15 new terminals have already accepted over 15,000 payments since installations began in mid-August.  In addition to the Main Street units, the city has plans to purchase approximately 16 more parking terminals from Cale America by the end of 2013.
