New Managing Director of Cale Access and the Cale Group

On August 26th, Henrik Mella was presented as new CEO of Cale Access AB and the Cale Group. Henrik will start his new position Monday, October 11.

The background to this change is that Torkel Härdeman, at the end of last year, informed the Board of Directors that he wished to "wind down" after many years of intense and successful work in leading and developing the Cale Group.

During winter and spring this year, an extensive recruitment process has been conducted, at the end of which the Board offered Henrik Mella the CEO position.

Henrik is currently positioned within Assa Abloy, as EDL business-unit manager, responsible for access control systems and electric locks.  Previously, Henrik was responsible for the Assa Abloy business in Russia, which under Henrik's leadership was coordinated, from having been a market where many different companies in the Assa Abloy group acted independently but with limited commercial success. The change was implemented successfully with a stronger market-offering, high revenue growth and improved profitability.

Before joining Assa Abloy, Henrik was a consultant for four years at McKinsey, where he worked on projects that focused on strategy, marketing and sales, business and organizational development for industrial and consumer goods companies.

In connection with the change of CEO there will also be some changes to the Board of Directors. Torkel will become a member of the Board and from this position he will follow his successor's endeavors. In addition, two new directors will join the Board of Directors: Paula Kökeritz and Fredrik Hansson. In this context, Ulf Körner will leave the Board after having been a very positive and active board member since Mellby Gård Industri acquired the Cale Group from Bewator.
