Image Sensing Systems Introduces Rapid Plate Recognition

- Saint Paul, Minnesota, US

Image Sensing Systems, Inc. announced today the introduction of its CitySync Rapid Plate Recognition™ technology, the fastest, most accurate automated license plate recognition (ALPR) engine in the world. The Rapid Plate Recognition technology reads a license plate numerous times and uses multiple advanced methods for both optical character recognition and plate finding for each plate read.

“The Rapid Plate Recognition technology captures key license plates in crime situations, parking and security access applications,” said Kris Tufto, CEO of Image Sensing Systems. “In several tests by multiple municipalities worldwide, our Rapid Plate Recognition technology routinely read a higher percentage of plates than any other license plate recognition system. This best-in-class technology can be the differentiator in making an arrest, earning ticket revenue, or securing a facility—for all law enforcement, parking and security organizations.”

The Rapid Plate Recognition technology looks for objects and then initiates multiple processing techniques that run concurrently on vehicles traveling at speeds as fast as 120 mph. This sophisticated technology delivers a state-of-the-art engine that outperforms other recognition engines on the market.

Image Sensing Systems will be showcasing its Rapid Plate Recognition technology and ALPR solutions during the upcoming Michigan Police Chief conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan, February 6 th and 7 th at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and the ISC West conference and exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada April 10-12 at the Sands Convention Center.
