Nedap & Conacctel Enable Easy Access to Spanish Business Park Office

Nedap & Conacctel

To offer employees secure yet convenient parking access, IOSA Inmuebles, the owner of one of the office buildings of the Spanish’ Cristalia business park, required a new vehicle access control system. Nedap’s ANPR was chosen to offers reliable long-range vehicle identification based on license plates. The big advantage of this solution is that it takes away the need to distribute and mount tags. The implementation was realized by Conacctel-Impro.

Benchmark business park

Located to the north-east of Madrid, Cristalia is a benchmark business park. The complex covers almost 10 hectares and consists of 10 office buildings, a hotel and 30,000 m2 of open space with gardens and sports facilities.

Employee parking

To offer office building employees secure yet convenient parking access, Nedap’s ANPR Access was integrated with Impronet, the access control system of Impro.

License plate recognition

Nedap’s ANPR Access is an all-in-one license plate recognition camera, including embedded software, analyzer and IR illuminator. The camera uses an interface unit to send a corresponding ID to the Impronet database, where it is checked for validity. If valid, the access control system sends an open signal to the barrier and records the event. With a read range of 3 (10 ft.) - 6 (20 ft.) meters, the ANPR Access ensures a smooth traffic flow.

500 employee cars

At this moment, 500 employees park their vehicles at the parking facility before they start their workday in the office building. IOSA Inmuebles chose a vehicle access control system based on Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) for the following reasons:

  • When users lose their tags, buying new ones is not required
  • No need to issue tags for new users, just simply adding their license plate number into the database
  • Easy temporary access for visitors based on their license plate number as a solution for the future

Service and support

IOSA Inmuebles is completely satisfied with the long-range vehicle identification solution and service offered.

The attention and technical advice from Nedap and Conacctel has been constant, both in the previous phase of definition and design of the system and in the subsequent phase of installation and commissioning, being one of the values added to the system's own technology that made us opt for this vehicle access control solution compared to other proposals," says Guillermo Barbero Huete, from the Department of Maintenance and Operations at IOSA Inmuebles.

Successful partnership

Nedap has contributed to win this project thanks to their involvement, service and proactivity. Conacctel-Impro and Nedap have worked in the past in other projects and once again the result justifies the relationship and the partnership between the companies,” says Javier Rodrigo, General Manager at Conacctel.
