Long range vehicle access within reach with the Nedap uPASS Reach reader.

Nedap AVIs newest reader, the uPASS Reach offers long range vehicle identification up to 4 meters [12 ft] using the latest UHF technology. Based on battery free passive UHF transponders you have a reliable, cost effective and enduring solution for parking access.
uPASS Reach Reader(small).pngThe UHF system is based on an uPASS Reach reader and a passive UHF tag. These tags are battery and maintenance free. The reader output allows the access control or parking system to open the gate when authorized without the need for card readers or PIN pads. A builtin, high intensity LED provides visual feedback to the user that the tag has been read. The system reads at distances up to 4 meters [12ft] reliable and consistently. The uPASS system is the ultimate solution for commercial and residential parking applications, such as car parks, gated communities and employee parking access. The uPASS Reach reader has an integrated finetuned antenna in an elegant and compact enclosure ideal for outdoor  IP65) as well as indoor applications. The reader is compliant with ISO 180006c and EPCglobal Gen2 standards. The Nedap UHF system offers the best priceperformance characteristics over traditional longrange proximity card solutions. The uPASS Reach reader can be installed on the entry pedestal near a gate barrier and can directly be mounted onto metal without the need of additional mounting accessories. The UPASS REACH reader is also very suitable for upgrading existing Wiegand reader installations, without the need  or any additional mounting accessories or wiring. The uPASS Reach reader will be available from April 2010 onwards.
