Parkeon demonstrates full functionality of solar-powered multi-space pay-and-display terminals at IPI 2006.

Parkeon, the worlds leading provider of parking space management solutions, will highlight the outstanding performance characteristics of its solar-powered Strada BNA multi-space, pay-and-display parking terminal on Booth #345 at the 2006 IPI Conference & Exposition.
Paystations-1.jpgThe machine has been designed to minimize its power consumption, which is less than 3mA in standby mode. The power requirements of all major components have also been reduced, enabling the solar Strada BNA to support a full range of functions without compromising its daily ticket-issuing capabilities. The model being demonstrated will feature both a bank note acceptor and a card reader that enables it to authorize and process credit card payments on-line. The machine will also accept all US coins. Providing drivers with a choice of payment methods has proved to boost parking revenues, with credit card payment facilities increasing income by up to 60%.

In addition to a range of payment options, the Strada BNA will be supporting Parkeon’s fully hosted centralized management service, Parkfolio.Neo®. It comprises two modules, Supervision and Financial, which are designed to enhance the overall performance and management of multi-space, pay-and-display schemes, while improving the level of service provided for drivers, too.

“Parkeon’s objective is to enable its customers to optimize the growth of their parking revenues with well-proven terminals and systems capable of supporting the widest range of functions”, says Michael Kavur, the Company’s US Vice President & Business Manager. “Our multi-space, pay-and-display systems are already the first choice of a number of major American cities, including Chicago, Miami, New York and Seattle.”
