Parkeon moves UK headquarters

Parkeon, the world leader in parking, transport ticketing and payment systems, is moving its UK head office to the Poole headquarters of the Wayfarer Group, a major player in bus fare collection systems, which it acquired in October 2007.

"As a multi-national company, Parkeons corporate, manufacturing, R&D and data processing centres are spread around the globe, whilst all Wayfarers facilities are based at their UK location in Poole", explains Bob Barnes, Parkeons UK Geomarket Director.

"A major objective of the acquisition was for the two companies to work closely together to develop revenue collection and management systems for multi-modal transportation systems. It makes sense, therefore, for Parkeon to move in with Wayfarer, rather than the other way round, and well only be moving 8 miles."
