Parking Garage P14 Stuttgart Airport with Bus Terminal

Another project which could be realised by the use of the fall protection system INTEGRA of Project W is the parking garage P14, located directly next to the terminals 3 and 4 at Stuttgart airport.

The building is divided into a bus terminal area on the ground floor with a total of 18 bus platforms and a parking garage area, which extends over the upper storeys with six vertically staggered parking levels. A double-barrelled spindle ramp connects the levels with each other and at the same time forms the southwestern end of the 210 meter long bar. With over 1500 parking spaces on parking decks 3- 8, the parking garage is especially suitable for business flights, which can be reached on foot in just a few minutes.

With a relief-like structure the perforated plate elements, of the front, are bonded with gold and brown tints and shine like a metallic skin wrapped around the strong robust steel and steel concrete joints. The purpose is for visual protection, whilst ensuring ample light diffusion.

INTEGRA guarantees, in the event of an impact, that the occurring loads will be relieved into the substructure (steel columns) in accordance with DIN EN 1991-1-7. In addition, INTEGRA fulfills the requirements of DIN EN 1991-1-1 for fall protection systems.
