New Q-Park Car Park for Royal Liverpool Hospital

A new 500 space car park for by patients and visitors at The Royal Liverpool University Hospital is to be built on an area of derelict land opposite the hospital. Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust are working with Q-Park Ltd, a leading UK parking company, who have acquired the development site and will operate the car park when it opens to the public.
q-park.gifQ-Park Ltd is part of the pan-European Q-Park Group renowned for providing quality parking facilities. Q-Park has a dominant presence in the healthcare sector and currently manages and operates 11 NHS Trust sites throughout the UK.

Work on the new car park is due to commence next month and should take about a year to complete. Commercial developers Moorfield group, who are currently completing the development of key worker accommodation on an adjacent site, have been appointed by Q-Park to procure and manage the construction of the car park.

Commenting on the development, Maggie Boyle, chief executive of the Trust, said: “The new car park will provide a welcome facility for the hospital and will relieve a lot of pressure for patients and visitors.”
