Q-Park: The Expansion Continues

The three parking properties are the first Q-Park properties in Saarbrücken to meet this type of customer needs.

At another location, Q-Park was able to further expand the E-Mobility Charging infrastructure and meet the growing demand by installing electric charging stations.

In Saarbrücken in the Q-Park main station, state theater, and congress hall, Q-Park customers can now use Q-Park's E-Charging infrastructure on the entrance levels of the respective car parks.

Further planning and conversion work is currently in full swing. According to the plan, Q-Park customers should be provided with a total of 41 E-Charging stations throughout Saarbrücken by the end of September at the latest. In addition to the installation at the main station with 3 charging points, the Congress Hall and the State Theater with 10 charging points each, the planned parking facilities at Am Schloss will receive 10, and the town hall with 8 new charging points.

Throughout Germany, Q-Park enables electric cars to be parked and charged at the same time in selected multi-storey car parks, thus driving e-mobility forward. You can check whether a car park offers the appropriate e-charging stations in the destination desired by the customer on the Q-Park website in the "Cities" category (https://www.q-park.de/de-de/staedte/). For this purpose, the desired parking object is called up. The icons at the top of the website show whether and how many charging stations are available in the respective property.

Q-Park is working with several partners in relation to the expansion of E-Mobility in order to support the Europe-wide change towards sustainable mobility and the improvement of the urban quality of life. Step-by-step instructions from Vattenfall explaining the charging process are available to Q-Park customers at every charging station in the parking facility (E-charging with Vattenfall at Q-Park | Q-Park.de). Payment is made via the usual provider and Q-Park does not charge any additional charging costs. If the charging card is not available, Vattenfall also makes it possible to settle the charging costs via the InCharge app. Once the desired parking and charging process is complete, the Q-Park customers can pay for their parking ticket as usual and drive out or leave the parking lot directly with an online reservation with license plate recognition.

By expanding the charging infrastructure, Q-Park hopes to optimize the customer journey and expand the range of services in the respective parking facilities.
