Linköping presents a fully automatic parking system which removes any hassle at the parking garage or on the streets!

The most customer-friendly parking system has been deployed in Linköping!

In garages with boom barriers, you easily drive in and out without having to swipe neither card nor ticket. This saves both time and the environment. You just need to ensure that the license plate of the car is clean and visible, and the rest is taken care of by the parking system.

Even before you reach the parking garages, you can select a site, where you will be guided and even before you are there it is possible to see if there are any free parking spaces.

You don’t have to think about the time running out on the parking meter. With a new app to your phone you can start and stop the timer on the parking meter while you can pay for your parking as well. Simple and smooth without having to go to a machine or keep track of a ticket.
Everything is concerted in the same seamless system.

How it works:

Get started:

1. Register an account via Swappaccess.
2. Download the app here. Android or iPhone
3. Check through the app if there are any available parking facilities.
   - On some parking garages you can also see the number of free spaces

Garages with boom barriers:

1. Drive in and park.
   - Upon arrival, the licence plate is read and the boom opens.
2. Exit the garage.
   - The licence plate is read and the boom opens. Run-out is recorded and you will receive a receipt by e-mail, by reqest. The cost is automatically deducted from the user's account.

Garages without boom barriers:

1. Park the car
2. Go to the app, find your parking space, and press «park».
3. When you want to leave, you go into the app again and press «cancel parking».
   - The time will be registered and the amount is automatically deducted from the user's acoount.

Who is involved in the project?

The project was initiated by the municipality of Linköping in Sweden and it is the parking company Dukat Linköping, who operates the facilities. Swarco has supplied all boom systems in Dukaten's facilities, supplemented them with cameras and systems that read the licence plate and created the entire transaction and payment solution through the service «SwappAccess»
