The Web Interface and Online Payments modules in BOSSCARS provide colleges and universities with everything needed to successfully implement customer parking accounts online. With a fully customizable interface, online parking services can adhere to the aesthetic of the schools existing student portal, so students can access their parking services with the familiar feel of other campus services.
BOSS SOFTWARE developed the Web Interface with an intuitive, user friendly front-end, which allows Parking Office Administrators to adjust online parking services as processes and business rules require. This interface will allow Administrators to:
- Activate or deactivate online appeals, permit registration and payment, and violation review and payment.
- Customize processes such as whether appeals are allowed before the violation is paid; whether individual vehicles get separate permits; required information for vehicle registration, and more.
- Adjust the verbiage for all messages, disclaimers, links, and page headings.
- Use the same Person Typing and Permit Typing online that BOSSCARS provides on Parking Office end user machines.
The Web Interface
Like the baseline system, the BOSSCARS Web Interface uses Person Types from the User Library to offer students and staff a selection of parking permits which specifically apply to them. The User Library tells BOSSCARS how to access Oracle database information to determine Person Types according to Relationship to the University, Major, Minor, Residence Hall, Extracurricular Activities, or any other criteria the Institution prefers. Once a student or faculty/staff member logs on to the Web Interface, BOSSCARS uses their Person Type to determine eligible permits they will be able to view and select, disclaimers and other messages they will read, and more.The Web Interface will not only eliminate long registration lines in the parking office, it will give students a secure and easy way to view and appeal their parking violations, enter vehicle information, and communicate with the Parking Office.
The Online Payments module
Purchasing a parking permit is a simple process: select a permit, register a vehicle, and confirm the order. If a college or university charges for permits or attaches fines to parking violations, online payments must be secure. The BOSSCARS Web Interface allows fines and fees to be sent to the students account and billed like tuition. With Online Payments, an additional option will be available for the student to pay online through one of BOSSCARS secure Payment Gateway Interfaces. We offer interfaces with several industry leaders, including: Nelnet, TouchNet, Core, CASHNet, PayPal, and more. Once payments are complete and received, BOSSCARS can automatically send payment information to the Institution Bursar and the payment will show on the customers account as well.BOSSCARS Online provides
